About

I was born and raised on the east coast, schooled on the west coast, and living out the rest of my days in the Midwest, I’ve had the distinct privilege of being exposed to and molded by different American cultures.

I love art, in all its forms, but I more drawn to music and writing. Admittedly, I like to write more than I like to read, but reading is still a pleasure for me. Judy Blume is one of the first writers I admired. I loved her stories about normal everyday folk. Like most boys, I was also very much into comic books and stories of fantasy, as well.

I’ve been writing since I penned my first story about a Christmas mouse in first grade. I’ve been DJing since I recorded my first music mix at USC’s college radio station in 1990. Even though I embrace the technology of the present, I also reflect fondly on the time when there were no such things as smartphones or MP3s.

I’m quite opinionated in my middle age, but I still try my best to practice a “live and let live” lifestyle. If it feels good, and it’s not hurting anyone, do it!
